Children's day

with EELT & Juana Palop

Sunday, 2nd of June

What is this Children's day about?

1st part | “Curious Sax”:

A key component of this project is the free saxophone exploration and musicianship workshop tailored especially for children in between 8 and 13. This will take place in the morning together with our saxophone teacher Juana Palop

Here the improvisation and music games will be on the top of the menu. This workshop aims to develop talent, let the children explore more advanced musical techniques and also create the foundation of sounds for the second part of the day.

2nd part | “Unlucky Mr.Sax”

Following,  William Schaffels from EELT presents a short theatrical piece about the dramatic life of the saxophone’s inventor, Adolphe Sax.

3rd part |“Creative Sax”

Finally, the participants will create together with William in a theatrical orchestral set-up a short presentation to be performed at the end of the day. The sounds they’ve learned during “Curious Sax” and the context they’ve acquire while “Unlucky Mr. Sax” will result in an experience that participants, family and the general public will never forget.

The provisional schedule for the day is as follows:
