About the event
At a saxophone festival, it’s nearly impossible to overlook the adventurous wind player Frank Gratkowski. He is best known as a saxophonist and clarinetist with BikBentBraam and the trio Gratkowski/De Joode/Kaufmann. In recent years, he has also appeared at Paradox with his bands Z-Country Paradise and The Resonaters. Now he returns with In Cahoots.
With his quartet Gratkowski / Zoubek / Landfermann / Mahnig, the German musician has been performing fully improvised music without limitations since 2016. In 2023, the group was renamed In Cahoots. In this formation, they perform compositions by Frank Gratkowski that leave ample room for creative improvisation.
